Style Update: Mohawk it up

So my younger sister has started a salon and she asked me to go there and have one of the girls style my hair to see if she was any good.  I went there today and the girl did a good job imo. I will go back for other styles.

Call me biased but the interior of the salon is awesome. I love red so I obviously love the decor with the red chairs and white walls and hardware. It is located in east Legon near PH Hotel. It's on the other side of the road so u will have to go to the roundabout and come back as if you were going back to the traffic lights. Salon is in a shopping arcade on your right.

Do well to visit after viewing my photos of course.

Natural hair products

So I'm back after 5 or so months, wohoooo! So much has gone on in my life, some good some bad but I thank God for it all. I also promise to be a more prolific blogger :-) 

 So to the post.

 I am still enjoying my Sisterlocks. They are locking and growing. I discovered a blog called naturalistagh and it is pretty good. It was created by a natural sister, who happens to have attended the same high school I did, ie St. Rose's in Akwatia. Her name is Anette and she is also a makeup artist. I enjoyed the posts I read and highly recommend the blog to hair and beauty lovers everywhere.

 I discovered a Ghanaian online store, Afroobsession.  They have hair products from a range of typical YouTube brands such as Shea moisture, Giovanni and Carol's Daughter. What I love about them is the fact that that their prices are quoted in Ghana cedis, which is rare as most other sites tend to quote theirs in dollars. 

I am planning to order a few things from them soon after which I'll post a review on my experience. Wish I had known about them when I still had my fro. Oh well, better late than never.

Update

Just to check in and say my Locs are doing great. They have curled permanently at the ends but still not locked yet. It's now been about 5 months since I had my Sisterlocs put in....still loving them.

Almost 1 year older

In a few hours (almost 12hrs) to be exact, I will be adding another year to my life. I don't really feel older but I am not necessarily happy about it either. We will see what this new year brings.
